Klarna - UK
What is Klarna?
Klarna is an installment feature that allows you to pay for your order with 3 equal payments. The first payment is withdrawn when you submit your order, the remaining 2 payments are scheduled every 30 days. Using Klarna is as simple as shopping as usual and proceeding to checkout. Choose Klarna as your payment method, and you'll be directed to the Klarna website to register and provide payment details. You must meet additional eligibility requirements to qualify. If you’ve used Klarna before, just log in to your Klarna account. With Klarna, you have the flexibility to pay in 3 equal installments every 30 days. There is zero interest and no additional fees when you pay on time. Payments are taken automatically, or you can log into the Klarna app anytime to make a payment. You can also view your orders and manage account details after your order has been processed in the Klarna app. Click here for more FAQ's about Klarna!
What happens if I'm unable to make payments to Klarna on time?
If you paid with the “Pay in 3 Instalments” plan, Klarna will automatically attempt to collect your second instalment from the debit or credit card that you entered at checkout. If the payment cannot be collected on the scheduled due date, Klarna will make a further attempt to automatically collect payment 7 days later and again in an additional 7 days. Should the last payment attempt fail, Klarna will add the failed amount to your final instalment. Final Instalment: Klarna will automatically attempt to collect your final instalment from the debit or credit card that you entered at checkout. If the payment cannot be collected on the scheduled due date, Klarna will make a further attempt to automatically collect payment 7 days later and again in an additional 7 days. If the payment for the final instalment fails, Klarna will issue a statement for the full outstanding order amount which will become payable 15 days later. You may be charged fees or interest for late and/or missed repayment(s). Your credit score will not be impacted by using Klarna’s ‘Pay in 3 instalments’ product even if you have failed to pay on time. However, if you fail to make a payment you will be in default, and may be unable to use the service in the future. If you do not pay for your purchase, Klarna may engage with an external debt collection agency to collect any outstanding funds as a last resort.
How do I return an item purchased using instalments with Klarna?
If you have changed your mind, you can return your item(s) by mail. Please note that we do not accept in-store returns for online orders. Skechers.co.uk orders paid with Klarna, must be returned by mail in order to receive a refund to the original form of payment. Please check that your return meets our Return policy here. Klarna will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Log into your Klarna account and select “Report a return” to pause your statement. Klarna will adjust your invoice as soon as your return has been processed.
When will my items be delivered if I use instalments with Klarna?
Klarna orders are delivered per our standard shipping time frame after completing your order online.
What happens if I have a partial refund, and how does that affect my Klarna payments?
If the partial refund is greater than the remaining balance of your order, the refund amount will be credited to the original payment method. If the partial refund is less than the remaining balance of your order, the amount will be deducted from the outstanding balance and spread evenly across the remaining payments. You can view any updates to your payment plan in the Klarna app. I have not received my order.
I have not received my order. What happens to my statement?
You do not need to pay the statement until you have received your order. Email Customer Service for an update on the delivery. Make sure to log into your Klarna account and “Report a problem” to pause your statement until you’ve received your order.
My Klarna statement is incorrect. What should I do?
If your statement does not match your order details, please email Customer Service directly for a correction of your statement. Make sure to log into your Klarna account and “Report a problem” to pause your statement until the details have been corrected

Machine Washable Shoes: Any style with the "Machine Washable" icon shown on the product detail page can be safely machine washed with detergent on the gentle cycle and air-dried, we suggest placing them in a pillowcase or laundry bag before washing in machine. Please wash shoes one at a time to avoid discoloration. Do not place shoes in dryer. For shoes with Skechers Memory Foam™ insoles, allow shoes and insoles to air dry for 10 to 12 hours to ensure the insoles are fully dry. Apply a protectant such as Skechers Water Proofer Spray to protect the shoes from water and stains.
Foamies: Machine wash or hand wash according to instructions on product page for style. If hand wash, use cold water and air dry in shade. Do not place in dryer and do not leave out in the sun.
Shoes Not Marked as Machine Washable: To maintain the quality of your purchase of our shoes, we do not recommend machine washing. We suggest the following steps for any minor cleaning to our shoes:
1. Remove excess dirt from the upper and outsole by using a small brush or towel.
2. Create a soapy mixture by combining warm water and a small amount (a few drops) laundry detergent.
3. Dip the brush or cloth into the soapy mixture. Wipe down the affected area. Apply a small amount of clean, warm water with the brush or cloth and brush/wipe off the excess soap.
4. Allow shoes to air dry.
Leather Shoes: Apply a protectant such as Skechers Water Proofer Spray to protect the shoes from water and stains before wearing in wet conditions. Use a leather cleaning lotion or spray such as Skechers Athletic Cleanser to clean. Apply a leather lotion or oil periodically to keep the leather supple. Do not machine wash leather shoes.
Suede or Nubuck Shoes: Brush dry suede/nubuck shoes with a soft brush or dry rubber sponge to remove any clinging dirt. Regular use of a soft brush will keep the nap of the suede free from dust. Stubborn stains should be removed with a commercial stain remover suitable for suede. DO NOT put in the washing machine or dryer. DO NOT immerse in water. Apply a protectant such as Skechers Water Proofer Spray to protect the shoes from water and stains before wearing in wet conditions. Use a suede/nubuck cleaning product to clean shoes. Brush with a suede brush for best results.
Light-Up Shoes: Machine washing light-up shoes is not advised as it may damage the lights. Clean with mild soap, warm water and a soft cloth.
Keeping Shoes Fresh: Apply a deodorizing spray such as Skechers Odor Eliminator Spray to keep shoes fresh and odor-free.

3. Points
Members of Skechers Plus will earn points for purchases that are made on Skechers.co.uk. Purchases at stores will not qualify for Points (even if the member purchases Skechers products). Points are awarded after reward certificate, discount, offer or merchandise credit are applied. Items that are ineligible for points earn include gift card purchases, taxes, shipping and all other fees.
Member tier and Silver tier members will earn ten (10) points per one pound (£1) spent. Gold tier members will earn twenty (20) points per one pound (£1) spent. Points earned through purchases can be impacted by a member’s tier level and/or bonus point promotions. If a member returns purchased items, the Points earned by the purchase of those items will be deducted from the member’s Point total. In addition to earning Points for purchases, members can also earn Points for certain digital engagement activities with Skechers.
Members can earn points on a maximum of seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750) worth of purchases in a rolling ninety (90) day timeframe. Any additional spend greater than this threshold will not earn points.
Members must be logged into their Program account on www.Skechers.co.uk to receive points for their actions. Skechers reserves the right, at its discretion, to retroactively credit Points for interactions where the member was not logged in or did not prove membership, provided sufficient proof of membership and purchase is made available to Customer Care within sixty (60) days of purchase.
4. Expiration of Points
All Points earned by members are valid for three hundred sixty-five (365) days from the date of earning and will expire at the end of this period unless Skechers explicitly states otherwise.
Points are not transferrable between members. Points have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Program Tiers
Skechers Plus has three (3) tiers. Members can progress through these tiers by the amount they spend on eligible products on www.Skechers.co.uk.
“Member” tier is the entry-level tier. Members only need to register for Skechers Plus to be a part of this tier. No purchase is required.
Members can progress to “Silver” tier and “Gold” tier by spending the required pound sterling amount within the calendar year (January 1st -December 31st) and completing their online account registration. When moving up Tiers, a member will receive that Tier status for the remainder of the current calendar year plus the subsequent calendar year.
Tier downgrades could happen in the following ways:
• If the member spends enough to earn Silver or Gold tier status in the current calendar year and then returns an order/product which brings their total spend in the current calendar year below the thresholds to earn Silver or Gold tier status, then their status will change to reflect their new calendar year spend total.
• If the member has earned Silver or Gold tier status in a prior calendar year, but fails to spend enough to earn Silver or Gold tier status in the current calendar year, the member will be downgraded to the appropriate tier in the subsequent year.
6. Rewards and Benefits
Entry and progress through each of the above-mentioned tiers will unlock a set of new benefits and rewards for members. Members will have access to the rewards in their current tier and the tiers below them. When a member moves down tiers, they will lose access to benefits from the higher tiers.
When a member earns 1,000 points, a £5 promotional voucher will be eligible for redemption. Points are redeemable only in increments of 1,000 points. Promotional vouchers can only be applied to purchases made by the member on Skechers.co.uk. No cash back will be provided if the voucher's full value is not utilized. Promotional vouchers will expire sixty (60) days after issuance.
The Birthday Bonus Points benefit enables Member and Silver tier customers to earn twenty (20) points per pound spent on any purchase made during their birthday month. Gold tier customers earn forty (40) points per pound spent on any purchase made during their birthday month. Points earned during a customer’s birthday month are subject to the cap of earning points only on up to seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750) of purchases per rolling ninety (90) day timeframe. Customers must submit their birthday information in their online profile in order to participate in the birthday bonus points benefit.
Double Points Day Passes enable Silver tier customers to earn twenty (20) points per pound spent total on a purchase of their choosing. Silver tier customers are awarded two (2) bonus points passes when they earn Silver tier status and then at the beginning of each calendar year in which they retain their Silver tier status. Any unused bonus points passes will expire at the end of December 31st.
Triple Points Day Passes enable Gold tier customers to earn thirty (30) points per dollar spent total on a purchase of their choosing. Gold tier customers are awarded one (1) triple points pass when they earn Gold tier status and then at the beginning of each calendar year in which they retain their Gold tier status. Any unused bonus points passes will expire at the end of December 31st.
Double and Triple Points Day Passes cannot be used in combination with the Birthday Bonus Points benefit. During a customer’s birthday month, passes will be deactivated and customers will earn bonus points only by the Birthday Bonus Points benefit.
Other benefits not mentioned here may be awarded to members on a surprise and delight basis at the discretion of Skechers.
Specific Rewards and Benefits may be subject to change, discontinuance, limitations, and substitutions by Skechers, at its discretion, and at any time without notice. The total value of rewards applied to a purchase cannot exceed the total cost of the purchase.
Rewards, benefits and promotional online code must be entered at checkout on www.Skechers.co.uk and may not be used in stores.

SKECHERS ELITE IS NOW SKECHERS PLUS!
Along with a name change to Skechers Plus from Skechers Elite, there are also important adjustments to our terms and conditions.
UPCOMING PROGRAM UPDATES:
Program Tiers

To qualify for the Silver tier, members must spend £175 in a membership year. Qualification for the Gold tier is £350 in a membership year.
We greatly value our members’ dedication to Skechers. So, if you currently have Elite Gold status, you’ll keep that status in Plus for a year. To retain Gold status for the following year, you’ll need to meet the £350 spend requirement.
How You Earn
Starting Winter of 2023 Member tier and Silver tier members will earn 10 points per £1 spent while Gold tier members will earn 20 points per £1 spent for purchases made on Skechers.co.uk. In addition to earning points from purchases made on Skechers.co.uk , members can earn points through certain digital engagement activities with Skechers.
Return Policy
Skechers Plus members will have a return window of 90 days, increased from the current policy of 45 days.
Points Expiration
Points earned by members are valid for 365 days from when they’re earned.
Elite Points
For members who have a remaining Elite point balance, Skechers will issue a Skechers Plus promotional voucher for the remaining point balance value. Members will have eighteen months to redeem the promotional voucher.

UK TAX Strategy – Year ending 31 December 2023
Background
This tax strategy document applies to all UK taxes applicable to Skechers USA Limited and Skechers UKDC Limited (collectively “Skechers UK”), and is published pursuant to requirements imposed by Schedule 19 Finance Act 2016 and will be reviewed annually. This tax strategy document has been approved by the Board of Directors of Skechers USA, Inc. (“Skechers USA”).
Introduction to the group
Skechers UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Skechers USA, a US company based in Manhattan Beach, California, and publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under stock ticker symbol SKX. Skechers UK’s financial results are included in the publicly reported consolidated financial statements of Skechers USA, which are subject to audit under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and to regulation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The quarterly and annual audited financial statements of Skechers USA are available through the SEC website: www.sec.gov. Skechers UK distributes Skechers-branded footwear, apparel and accessories throughout the UK and Ireland. All Skechers-branded footwear, apparel and accessories are manufactured by unrelated, independent, contract manufacturers, and is imported into the UK and Ireland for resale at wholesale to department stores and specialty retailers and for resale at retail through Skechers UK’s own retail locations.
Tax governance and approach to tax risk management
Skechers USA employs a team of degreed and highly experienced tax professionals in the head office who advise the company’s officers and upper management on global tax matters and tax policy. Global tax policy is set in the US by the vice president of tax in consultation with management and in consultation with external tax advisors in the US, the UK, and throughout the world. Tax policy is implemented locally in the UK by the Skechers UK finance team in consultation with local tax advisors who also assist Skechers UK with tax compliance and related tax inquiries. Skechers UK and its tax advisors assess tax risks on an ongoing basis, reviewing the tax implications of material business transactions and the impact of new legislation. As part of their annual and quarterly audits, Skechers USA and Skechers UK review their global tax positions and transfer pricing policies to identify and address any current or potential tax risks. This quarterly review is conducted by Skechers USA’s tax team in the US in consultation with Skechers UK’s local finance department and with Skechers UK’s local tax advisors. To the extent any UK tax risks are identified, the issue and actions to be taken would be discussed with management, with external tax advisors, and with Skechers USA’s Audit Committee. Skechers USA and Skechers UK frequently seek external tax expertise to address the tax risks associated with significant new tax developments (such as recent changes in UK tax law). This tax expertise is further supported by the hiring and ongoing training of qualified tax and finance professionals to implement any action required by new tax risks as they may arise.
Attitude to tax planning and acceptable level of tax risk
Skechers USA and Skechers UK both endeavor to conduct operations in a tax-efficient manner while ensuring compliance with both local and international tax law and regulations. All related party transactions are conducted at “arm’s length,” and in compliance with transfer pricing regulations. Skechers USA and Skechers UK both work to minimize their tax risks where possible, and to the extent it is deemed necessary, to address any underlying uncertainty through advance pricing agreements with local tax authorities, and in some cases through the provision of tax reserves to address any potential exposure. To date, Skechers UK has not needed to enter into any advance pricing agreements or provide for any tax reserves.
Relationship with HMRC
Skechers UK stays current and is current with all its tax filings. Skechers UK’s tax filings are subject to enquiry (audit) and review by HMRC. It is important to Skechers UK to cooperate fully with all such enquiries and Skechers UK endeavors to respond to all such audits and related inquiries in an open and timely manner. Skechers UK strives to maintain good relations with HMRC.

However, it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time and to cancel any orders arising from such occurrences. If the product's correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, we will contact you for your instructions before we accept your order. We collect and publish reviews using an online review platform which is incorporated into the pages for each product on our website. Any person can leave comments and feedback and choose a rating of 0 to 5 stars. The displayed 5-star rating is an average of all ratings received.
We do not verify that reviews have been submitted by customers who have actually used or purchased the product. However, reviewers must confirm their agreement to our review platform’s terms and conditions, which include the requirement that reviewers are only allowed to submit a review if they have had a personal experience with our products or services. Those terms and conditions also state that reviewers should not submit a review if they are yet to make a purchase or have no experience with the specific product or service or with Skechers.
We publish both positive and negative reviews on each product page. However, we have the ability to moderate and filter reviews before publication, including to remove reviews which breach our review platform’s terms and conditions or are not relevant or related to that particular product.
Anyone can flag a review on the following grounds: profanity, wrong product, spam, duplicate, copyright violation, not a product review, customer image, or on other grounds. Flagged reviews are considered for removal.
We do not commission fake reviews, or manipulate or alter existing reviews, or incentivize reviewers to post positive reviews.
We do not publish reviews that have been sponsored or influenced by a contractual relationship with partners.
